Katrin Krug studied mathematics at the Technical University of Munich and finished her studies this summer with a practical master thesis in cooperation with Ehrenmüller in Kempten. In September, she joined the company as a junior data scientist.

Automated Order Quantity Planning: Using Sales Forecasting Models for Cost Optimal Purchasing Decisions

Correct sales forecasts and a cost optimal order quantity planning are of central importance for many companies from different industries. In this talk I will present an approach to model this decision problem using an integer linear program which is applied in an iterative online optimization method.
