Markus is program director for the master´s degrees in business at Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences. He is professor of managerial accounting and head of the Department und Management and Business Administration. Markus studied business and economics at the University of Hohenheim, where he obtained his doctorate. He co-headed the competence team Financial Controlling at zeb/, a business consultancy focused on the financial services sector located in Munster, Germany. His areas of particular interest and research are business analytics, accounting, controlling and finance. In 2018 Markus joined the organizing team of the Business & Industrial Data Analytics (BIDA) Vorarlberg meetup - a platform for the data science community in the region.
